Ear warm-up: rotating the ears with your palms
The fastest exercise in the whole course — ten seconds. And one of the most underrated.
Cover your ears completely with your palms and start rotating them forward in a wide circle. The movement comes from the shoulder, not the wrist: the ear turns together with the skin around it rather than being rubbed in place. Ten circles forward — and the same number back.
Around the ear there are small muscles that have almost lost their original function but remain woven into the network that covers the skull. Through them, tension is passed on to the temple and further to the top of the head. On top of that, the skin of the ear is one of the areas of the body richest in nerve endings: stimulating it instantly switches the nervous system into a calmer mode. That’s where the warmth that spreads across your cheeks almost immediately comes from.
The only thing to remember: take off your earrings.
Think of it as the “switch on the face” button. Ten seconds — and the whole side of your head is warmed up, the skin is supple, and you’re ready for what comes next.
